Loop [ALPHA] officially uses the terms Upgrades, Items, Inventory, Flashlights, and Coins in its badge descriptions. That is enough to build a useful lookup index, but not enough to publish a complete shop catalog, a price table, or a “best upgrades” tier list. This hub tells you what each confirmed term can support, what to check in the live interface, and how to make a purchase or carry decision without inventing missing data.

The Alpha can change economy values, persistence, and item behavior. Before spending, read the current name, effect, price, and any duration or carry limit shown on your screen. Treat a value from a video as dated community evidence unless your build matches it.

Unknown values are not zero. A blank price or effect means the public evidence does not support a stable value yet; read the live offer instead of interpreting an empty field as “free” or “does nothing.”

Inspect before you pick up or buy

Pause on the offer or pickup long enough to read its exact label. Identify whether the game calls it an Item, Upgrade, currency interaction, or Inventory action. Then ask what problem it solves now. A purchase that improves visibility, movement, survival, or mission work may be valuable, but those roles must come from the current description rather than the item’s appearance.

Check the price and your remaining Coins together. Spending every Coin on an untested effect can block a later mission or safety purchase. If the interface does not explain persistence, buy or collect one low-risk example before committing to a full route. After the Day changes, death occurs, or the session ends, compare your Inventory and balance.

Understand the Pure Skill boundary

The Pure Skill badge requires reaching Day 20 without purchasing any Upgrades or Items and states that it is solo-only. The wording distinguishes purchasing from simply seeing an offer, but it does not explain whether free pickups, forced items, gifts, or non-purchase interactions affect eligibility. Do not publish a loophole from assumption.

If you are intentionally attempting Pure Skill, begin a clean solo run, avoid any button clearly labeled as an Upgrade or Item purchase, and keep a simple Day-by-Day note. If the badge does not award, report the exact interactions rather than claiming the badge is broken.

Understand the Pocket Full boundary

The Pocket Full badge requires having at least 10,000 Coins before reaching Day 20, also in solo play. This confirms the currency name, threshold, and deadline context. It does not reveal the fastest source, expected earnings per Day, whether spending disqualifies you, or what happens to Coins after death.

Use Coins to build a balance plan from values you observe in your current run. Avoid any “coins per minute” claim that lacks a version, route, and repeatable result.

Use Inventory as a state check

Inventory is directly named by the Two Flashlights? badge. Open it before and after a pickup to confirm whether the item actually entered storage. A world object, held tool, equipped object, and Inventory entry may be different states. The badge condition requires two Flashlights in Inventory simultaneously, not merely seeing or interacting with two during a run.

In co-op, compare each player’s Inventory after one controlled pickup. Do not assume an Item duplicates for everyone, belongs to the first player, or can be dropped. One low-risk test answers more than a copied rule from a different Alpha build.

Decide between immediate safety and long-run goals

An unknown Item should earn its place by solving a known problem. If your run repeatedly fails to visibility pressure, inspect Flashlight behavior. If a mission interaction is slow or risky, compare the live Upgrade descriptions. If the goal is Pocket Full, protect the balance and set a spending ceiling before the next Day.

Challenge badges create unusual incentives. A purchase that improves ordinary survival may conflict with Pure Skill, while saving every Coin for Pocket Full may make a normal run harder. Choose the objective before the shop or offer screen appears so you are not deciding under pressure.

Solo and co-op item questions

Solo-only badge wording proves that at least some progression checks care about play mode. It does not prove that prices or drops scale. In solo, keep enough reserve to recover from one mistaken purchase and test one unknown at a time.

In co-op, determine ownership, visibility, and transfer rules before assigning a carrier. After one pickup, compare balances and Inventories. After one purchase, compare whether the effect appears for the buyer, nearby teammates, or everyone. Record the Day and server state because an Alpha update can change the result.

Item mistakes to avoid

  • Calling a named category a complete catalog.
  • Inventing a price because it appears briefly in an undated clip.
  • Assuming an Upgrade lasts forever or resets every Day without checking.
  • Treating two held world objects as two Inventory entries for the Flashlight badge.
  • Claiming a best Coin farm from one lucky run.
  • Buying during a Pure Skill attempt and hoping the category label does not count.
  • Assuming a teammate sees or owns the same pickup.

Item FAQ

Is there a complete item list?

Not from current first-party public material. This index includes only terms established by official badge descriptions and leaves unsupported catalog fields unset.

What is the best Upgrade?

No reliable public dataset currently supports a universal ranking. Compare the live effect with your run’s main failure, cost, and the current persistence rules.

Can I carry two Flashlights?

The official Two Flashlights? badge explicitly requires two Flashlights in Inventory at the same time, so the state is possible. The acquisition route and operating details still need current in-game verification.

Do Coins persist after death or leaving?

That behavior is not established by the official badge text. Check your balance before and after one low-risk transition in the current build.

Evidence status: System names, the two-Flashlight Inventory condition, the no-purchase Day 20 condition, and the 10,000-Coin pre-Day-20 condition are Official. Prices, catalogs, effects, persistence, sharing, and farm rates need in-game testing.
